IBPS RRB PO के लिए त्रुटि पहचान — Subject-Verb Agreement और व्याकरण त्रुटियाँ

intermediate 18 min read

दूसरी category है Tense Errors — particularly present perfect vs simple present, और singular subject के साथ "have/has" का गलत चुनाव।

तीसरी category है Pronoun और Preposition की गलती — जो अपेक्षाकृत कम लेकिन नियमित रूप से आती है।

इस chapter में focus रखो subject-verb agreement पर — बाकी सब secondary है।

गहन विश्लेषण

Subject-Verb Agreement के मूल नियम

नियम 1 — Plural subject, plural verb

जब subject plural हो, तो verb में "-s" या "-es" नहीं लगता।

नियम 2 — एकवचन subject, एकवचन verb

जब subject singular हो, तो present tense में verb के साथ "-s" या "-es" लगता है।

यहाँ trap यह है कि "focus on rural development" पढ़ते समय दिमाग़ "development" पर अटक जाता है जो plural नहीं है — लेकिन असली subject "focus" है जो singular है।

Intervening Phrase का जाल

सबसे खतरनाक trap: subject और verb के बीच एक लंबा phrase आ जाता है, जिसके कारण तुम verb को उस phrase के आखिरी noun से match करने लगते हो।

उदाहरण: "The quality of the loans have improved."

यहाँ subject "quality" है (singular), न कि "loans" (plural)। इसलिए "have" गलत है, "has" सही है।

IBPS RRB में यह trap इस तरह आता है:

"The government's focus on rural development have led to..."

Subject = "focus" (singular) Intervening phrase = "on rural development" Correct verb = "has led"

नियम: Subject और verb के बीच आने वाला phrase subject की number नहीं बदलता।

Collective Nouns और Special Cases

कुछ nouns देखने में plural लगते हैं लेकिन singular माने जाते हैं:

| Noun | Number | Verb | |------|--------|------| | News | Singular | is/was/has | | Mathematics | Singular | is | | The committee | Singular (as unit) | decides | | Self-Help Groups | Plural | play/provide | | Digital banking services | Plural | have |

"Technology adoption" — यहाँ "adoption" singular है, भले ही "technology" जुड़ा हो। Verb "has improved" होगा।

Tense Agreement

IBPS RRB के प्रश्नों में present perfect tense की auxiliary verb ("has/have") की अशुद्धि भी नियमित रूप से आती है।

फ़ॉर्मूला:

Subject (singular)+has+V3\text{Subject (singular)} + \text{has} + \text{V3} Subject (plural)+have+V3\text{Subject (plural)} + \text{have} + \text{V3}

"No Error" वाले प्रश्न

हर 5-6 प्रश्नों में एक "No error" वाला प्रश्न आता है। इसका trap यह है कि जब वाक्य सही होता है, तो छात्र उसमें ज़बरदस्ती गलती ढूंढते हैं और गलत option चुनते हैं।

"No Error" को identify करने का तरीका:

"The Reserve Bank of India has issued various circulars regarding the functioning of Regional Rural Banks." — यहाँ subject "Reserve Bank" singular है, "has issued" सही है, "regarding" सही preposition है। "No error" सही जवाब है।

शॉर्टकट और युक्तियाँ

patternSubject खोजो, बाकी सब भूलो

वाक्य पढ़ते ही सबसे पहले असली subject को underline करो — न कि उसके आगे-पीछे के nouns को। फिर सीधे verb से subject का number match करो।

Micro-example: "The number of rural bank branches have increased." Subject = "number" (singular) → verb = "has increased"

पूरा वाक्य पढ़कर subject ढूँढने में: 25 सेकंड सीधे subject underline करके: 8 सेकंड

Step count: पूरा approach = 6 steps; यह shortcut = 2 steps।

patternPlural Trap List — इन्हें रटो

इन phrases को हमेशा plural मानो और verb बिना "-s/-es" के रखो:

  • Self-Help Groups → play, provide, work
  • Regional Rural Banks → play, offer
  • Microfinance institutions → provide, give
  • Digital banking services → have, are

Micro-example: "Self-Help Groups plays" — देखते ही flag करो। "Groups" = plural → "play" सही।

Standard approach (पढ़कर सोचो): 20 सेकंड इस list से instant recognition: 5 सेकंड

eliminationOf-Phrase को काटो

जब भी "X of Y" structure दिखे, Y को mentally bracket में बंद करो और सिर्फ़ X से verb match करो।

Pattern:

  • "The quality [of the products]" → singular verb
  • "A number [of students]" → plural verb (exception: "a number" = plural)
  • "The number [of students]" → singular verb
  • "The government's focus [on rural development]" → singular verb

Micro-example: "The impact [of various schemes] have/has been positive." X = "impact" (singular) → "has been" सही।

patternHas/Have Disambiguator

Present perfect में:

  • अगर subject में "s/es" है (plural) → have लगाओ।
  • अगर subject में "s/es" नहीं है (singular) → has लगाओ।

Exception याद रखो: "I" और "You" के साथ हमेशा "have"।

Micro-example: "Technology adoption has/have improved..." → "adoption" में कोई plural marker नहीं → has सही। "Digital banking services has/have revolutionized..."

सही verb = "face"।

Previous Year Questionपिछले वर्ष का प्रश्न
Rural entrepreneurs often faces / challenges in accessing / formal credit from / traditional banking institutions.
  1. Rural entrepreneurs often faces
  2. challenges in accessing
  3. formal credit from
  4. No error
Solutionसमाधान
The error is in part A. 'Entrepreneurs' is plural, so the verb should be 'face' instead of 'faces'.
त्रुटि भाग A में है। 'Entrepreneurs' बहुवचन है, इसलिए क्रिया 'face' होनी चाहिए 'faces' के बजाय।

क्यों यह प्रश्न: यह "Of-phrase" वाला classic trap है। "Focus on rural development" पढ़ते समय दिमाग़ "development" पर जाता है — लेकिन subject "focus" है।

समाधान का रास्ता: Subject = "focus" (singular), intervening phrase = "on rural development" को bracket करो। "Focus" के साथ "have led" गलत है — "has led" सही है। भाग B गलत।

Previous Year Questionपिछले वर्ष का प्रश्न
The government's focus on / rural development have led to / significant improvements in / agricultural productivity and income.
  1. The government's focus on
  2. rural development have led to
  3. significant improvements in
  4. No error
Solutionसमाधान
The error is in part B. 'Focus' is singular, so the verb should be 'has led' instead of 'have led'.
त्रुटि भाग B में है। 'Focus' एकवचन है, इसलिए क्रिया 'has led' होनी चाहिए 'have led' के बजाय।

क्यों यह प्रश्न: "Regional Rural Banks" — IBPS RRB के context में directly relevant। यह plural phrase है, लेकिन institutional name लगने के कारण कुछ छात्र इसे singular मान लेते हैं।

समाधान का रास्ता: "Regional Rural Banks" = plural (Banks में "-s" है) → "plays" गलत है → "play" सही है। भाग A में त्रुटि।

Previous Year Questionपिछले वर्ष का प्रश्न
Regional Rural Banks plays / a crucial role in providing / credit facilities to farmers / and rural entrepreneurs.
  1. Regional Rural Banks plays
  2. a crucial role in providing
  3. credit facilities to farmers
  4. No error
Solutionसमाधान
The error is in part A. 'Regional Rural Banks' is plural, so the verb should be 'play' instead of 'plays'.
त्रुटि भाग A में है। 'Regional Rural Banks' बहुवचन है, इसलिए क्रिया 'play' होनी चाहिए 'plays' के बजाय।

क्यों यह प्रश्न: Present perfect में "has/have" का चुनाव — "services" plural है लेकिन "banking services" phrase लंबा होने से कुछ छात्र "has" चुन लेते हैं।

समाधान का रास्ता: Subject = "Digital banking services" — "services" में "-s" है, अतः plural → auxiliary verb "have" सही है, "has" नहीं। भाग A में त्रुटि।

Previous Year Questionपिछले वर्ष का प्रश्न
Digital banking services has / revolutionized the way / rural customers access / financial products and services.
  1. Digital banking services has
  2. revolutionized the way
  3. rural customers access
  4. No error
Solutionसमाधान
The error is in part A. 'Services' is plural, so the auxiliary verb should be 'have' instead of 'has'.
त्रुटि भाग A में है। 'Services' बहुवचन है, इसलिए सहायक क्रिया 'have' होनी चाहिए 'has' के बजाय।

क्यों यह प्रश्न: "No error" वाले प्रश्न को पहचानने का अभ्यास ज़रूरी है। इसमें सब कुछ सही है — subject "Reserve Bank" singular, "has issued" correct, "regarding" correct preposition।

समाधान का रास्ता: Subject = "Reserve Bank of India" (singular) → "has issued" सही। "Various circulars" object है। "Regarding the functioning of" — preposition और structure दोनों सही। सभी भाग सही → "No error"।

Previous Year Questionपिछले वर्ष का प्रश्न
The Reserve Bank of India / has issued various circulars / regarding the functioning of / Regional Rural Banks.
  1. The Reserve Bank of India
  2. has issued various circulars
  3. regarding the functioning of
  4. No error
Solutionसमाधान
The sentence is grammatically correct. All parts maintain proper structure with correct verb tense and appropriate preposition usage.
वाक्य व्याकरणीय रूप से सही है। सभी भाग सही क्रिया काल और उचित पूर्वसर्ग प्रयोग के साथ उपयुक्त संरचना बनाए रखते हैं।
