IBPS RRB PO के लिए वाक्य सुधार — व्याकरणिक त्रुटि पहचान और सुधार

intermediate 18 min read

  1. Subject-Verb Agreement — सबसे ज़्यादा प्रश्न इसी पर आते हैं
  2. Parallel Structurenot only...but also, either...or जैसे correlatives में
  3. Preposition का गलत प्रयोगaware of/about, despite/despite of
  4. Tense Consistency — एक ही वाक्य में tense का बदलना

इन चारों को अच्छी तरह पकड़ लो — बाकी सब secondary है।

गहन विश्लेषण

Subject-Verb Agreement — सबसे बड़ा जाल

नियम सरल है: singular subject → singular verb, plural subject → plural verb। लेकिन IBPS RRB के प्रश्नों में subject को छुपाया जाता है।

जाल #1: Subject और Verb के बीच phrase आना

The government's refinancing policies has contributed...

यहाँ subject है policies (plural), लेकिन government's के बाद तुम्हारा दिमाग government को subject मान लेता है। सही verb: have

तरीका: Subject को identify करने के लिए phrase को bracket में डालो:

The [government's] refinancing policies [across various states] has/have contributed

Bracket हटाओ → policies has/havepolicies plural → have

जाल #2: Collective Nouns

Government, committee, board, team — ये singular माने जाते हैं जब पूरी संस्था एक इकाई के रूप में काम करे।

The government have announced... ✗
The government has announced... ✓

जाल #3: Gerund/Abstract Noun as Subject

The digitalization of banking services have revolutionized... ✗
The digitalization of banking services has revolutionized... ✓

यहाँ digitalization subject है (singular abstract noun), services नहीं। Rule: of + noun वाला phrase कभी subject नहीं होता।

जाल #4: Relative Clause में Verb

...loan schemes that was launched... ✗
...loan schemes that were launched... ✓

Relative pronoun that यहाँ schemes (plural) को refer करता है → were

Parallel Structure — Correlatives में सबसे आम गलती

जब वाक्य में not only...but also, either...or, neither...nor, both...and आए, तो दोनों तरफ की grammatical structure एक जैसी होनी चाहिए।

not only enhances productivity but also ensuring conservation ✗
not only enhances productivity but also ensures conservation ✓

Formula: दोनों तरफ same form — अगर पहली side V1 (base/third person singular present) है, तो दूसरी side भी वही।

not only [enhances] but also [ensures] → V3sg + V3sg ✓
not only [improves] but also [reduces] → V3sg + V3sg ✓

Preposition की गलतियाँ — Fixed Expressions याद करो

कुछ adjectives और verbs के साथ specific prepositions fixed हैं:

| Expression | सही Preposition | गलत Preposition | |---|---|---| | aware ___ | of | about | | despite ___ | (nothing — directly noun/gerund) | of | | in spite ___ | of | (nothing) | | reason ___ | for | of | | respond ___ | to | at |

aware about the scheme ✗ → aware of the scheme ✓
despite of implementing ✗ → despite implementing ✓

Despite और In spite of — दोनों का मतलब same है, लेकिन structure अलग:

Tense Consistency — एक वाक्य, एक timeline

अगर वाक्य past tense में है, तो relative clause भी past में रहे:

farmers were not aware... that was launched ✗ (agreement भी गलत)
farmers were not aware... that were launched ✓

Present Perfect (has/have been) तब use होता है जब action recently complete हुई हो और present relevance हो। Past simple (was/were) tab जब specific past time mention हो।

शॉर्टकट और युक्तियाँ

eliminationBracket-Out Method for Subject

जब भी subject और verb के बीच phrases हों, mentally सब bracket में डालो और बाकी हटा दो। सिर्फ़ bare subject + verb देखो।

उदाहरण: "The interest rates [on agricultural loans] has/have been reduced" → The interest rates has/have → rates = plural → have been reduced

Standard method: पूरा वाक्य दोबारा पढ़ो = 30 seconds Shortcut: Bracket-Out = 8 seconds, error rate भी कम।

substitutionDespite vs In Spite Of Test

अगर option में despite है, उसके बाद directly of नहीं आना चाहिए। Test: despite को in spite of से replace करो — अगर sentence सही लगे तो despite का of हटाना है।

Despite of working hardIn spite of working hard (सही) → तो original में despite working hard

एक step में गलत option eliminate: 4 options में से 2 हटाओ = 50% काम खत्म, 6 seconds में।

patternParallel Check: दोनों Arms का Form Match करो

not only...but also में underlined part अक्सर but also वाला arm होता है। बस not only वाले arm का verb form देखो और उसी form में but also का verb लिखो।

not only enhances → third person singular present → but also ensures (न कि ensuring या ensured)

Standard: पूरा correlative structure analyze करो = 40 seconds Pattern method: One arm देखो, mirror करो = 10 seconds।

eliminationCollective Noun Rule — 'एक इकाई' Test

Government, committee, team, board, jury — अगर वाक्य में ये body एक decision ले रही हो या एक action कर रही हो, तो singular verb।

"The government has announced" — एक decision, singular ✓ "The team are arguing among themselves" — members की individual actions, plural ✓

IBPS RRB में 95% cases में government singular होता है। Option में has announced दिखे → strongly consider करो। Standard analysis: 45 seconds। Rule याद हो: 5 seconds।

pattern'Of + Noun' कभी Subject नहीं — Instant Rule

The [X] of [Y] structure में हमेशा X subject है, Y नहीं।

The digitalization of services → subject = digitalization (singular) The expansion of policies → subject = expansion (singular) The reduction of rates → subject = reduction (singular)

यह rule apply करने में 3 seconds लगते हैं। बिना इस rule के 2-3 options पढ़कर confuse होने में 35 seconds।

तेज़-समाधान रूपरेखा

परीक्षा हॉल में यह क्रम follow करो:

Step 1 (5 sec): Underlined/bold part को देखो। तुरंत पूछो — यहाँ verb है, preposition है, या structure है?

Step 2A — अगर Verb है: Subject identify करो (Bracket-Out method)। Singular है या plural? Collective noun? of + noun वाला trap है? सही agreement वाला option चुनो।

Step 2B — अगर Preposition है: Fixed expression याद करो। despite of हमेशा गलत। aware about हमेशा गलत। सही option चुनो।

Step 2C — अगर Structure है: not only...but also या similar correlative है? not only वाले arm का form देखो।

Previous Year Questionपिछले वर्ष का प्रश्न
The NABARD's refinancing policies has significantly contributed to the expansion of rural credit infrastructure across various states.
  1. policies has significantly contributed
  2. policies have significantly contributed
  3. policy has significantly contributed
  4. policies had significantly contributed
Solutionसमाधान
The subject 'policies' is plural, so it requires the plural verb 'have' instead of the singular 'has'. Subject-verb agreement is essential for grammatically correct sentences.
विषय 'policies' बहुवचन है, इसलिए इसके साथ बहुवचन क्रिया 'have' का प्रयोग होना चाहिए, एकवचन 'has' का नहीं। कर्ता-क्रिया की सहमति व्याकरणिक रूप से सही वाक्य के लिए आवश्यक है।

समाधान का रास्ता: Bracket-Out करो: The [NABARD's] refinancing policies [across various states] has/have contributed → bare subject = policies (plural) → have → Option B सही।

क्यों यह प्रश्न: The digitalization of banking servicesof + noun का trap। यहाँ services plural है लेकिन subject नहीं।

Previous Year Questionपिछले वर्ष का प्रश्न
The digitalization of banking services in rural areas have revolutionized the way farmers access financial products and services.
  1. have revolutionized the way
  2. has revolutionized the way
  3. had revolutionized the way
  4. having revolutionized the way
Solutionसमाधान
The subject 'digitalization' is singular, requiring the singular verb 'has' instead of the plural 'have'. This is a common error in subject-verb agreement.
विषय 'digitalization' एकवचन है, इसलिए एकवचन क्रिया 'has' की आवश्यकता है, बहुवचन 'have' की नहीं। यह कर्ता-क्रिया की सहमति में एक सामान्य त्रुटि है।

समाधान का रास्ता: The [X] of [Y] rule — X = digitalization (singular abstract noun) → has revolutionized → Option B सही।

क्यों यह प्रश्न: The government's initiative...through subsidies and training programs — long intervening phrase से subject छुपता है।

Previous Year Questionपिछले वर्ष का प्रश्न
The government's initiative to promote organic farming through subsidies and training programs have gained momentum in recent years.
  1. have gained momentum
  2. has gained momentum
  3. had gained momentum
  4. having gained momentum
Solutionसमाधान
The subject 'initiative' is singular, so it requires the singular verb 'has' instead of the plural 'have'. The sentence structure focuses on one main initiative with multiple components.
विषय 'initiative' एकवचन है, इसलिए इसके साथ एकवचन क्रिया 'has' होनी चाहिए, बहुवचन 'have' नहीं। वाक्य संरचना कई घटकों के साथ एक मुख्य पहल पर केंद्रित है।

समाधान का रास्ता: [government's] initiative [through subsidies and training programs] have/has gained → subject = initiative (singular) → has gained → Option B सही।

क्यों यह प्रश्न: Parallel Structure का trap — not only enhances...but also ensuring — यह IBPS में सबसे ज़्यादा mislead करने वाला pattern है।

Previous Year Questionपिछले वर्ष का प्रश्न
The agricultural sector has been witnessing a paradigm shift towards sustainable farming practices, which not only enhances productivity but also ensuring environmental conservation.
  1. but also ensuring environmental conservation
  2. but also ensures environmental conservation
  3. but also ensured environmental conservation
  4. but also ensure environmental conservation
Solutionसमाधान
The sentence uses parallel structure with 'not only...but also'. Since 'enhances' is in present tense, the verb 'ensures' should also be in present tense third person singular form to maintain consistency.
वाक्य में 'not only...but also' का समानांतर संरचना का प्रयोग है। चूंकि 'enhances' वर्तमान काल में है, इसलिए 'ensures' भी वर्तमान काल के तृतीय पुरुष एकवचन रूप में होना चाहिए।

समाधान का रास्ता: not only arm = enhances (V3sg present) → but also arm भी V3sg होना चाहिए → ensures → Option B सही। ensuring (gerund) और ensured (past) — दोनों parallel नहीं।

क्यों यह प्रश्न: यह प्रश्न एक साथ दो errors test करता है — aware of/about और relative clause में was/were। ऐसे double-error questions में options ध्यान से पढ़ने पड़ते हैं।

Previous Year Questionपिछले वर्ष का प्रश्न
The rural farmers were not aware about the new agricultural loan schemes that was launched by the government last year.
  1. The rural farmers are not aware about the new agricultural loan schemes that was launched by the government last year.
  2. The rural farmers were not aware of the new agricultural loan schemes that were launched by the government last year.
  3. The rural farmers were not aware about the new agricultural loan schemes that were launched by the government last year.
  4. The rural farmers were not aware of the new agricultural loan schemes that was launched by the government last year.
Solutionसमाधान
The correct preposition after 'aware' is 'of', not 'about'. Additionally, 'schemes' is plural, so the verb should be 'were launched', not 'was launched'. The sentence maintains past tense throughout for consistency.
'Aware' के बाद सही preposition 'of' है, 'about' नहीं। साथ ही, 'schemes' plural है, इसलिए verb 'were launched' होना चाहिए, 'was launched' नहीं। वाक्य में consistency के लिए past tense बना रहना चाहिए।

समाधान का रास्ता: पहली error: aware aboutaware of (fixed preposition)। दूसरी error: schemes that was launchedschemes plural + that refers to schemeswere launched। Option B दोनों सही करता है।

क्यों यह प्रश्न: Despite of — यह India में सबसे common English गलती है। साथ में Subject-Verb Agreement का भी trap।

Previous Year Questionपिछले वर्ष का प्रश्न
Despite of implementing various government schemes, many small farmers still struggles to get adequate credit from rural banks.
  1. Despite of implementing various government schemes, many small farmers still struggle to get adequate credit from rural banks.
  2. In spite implementing various government schemes, many small farmers still struggle to get adequate credit from rural banks.
  3. Despite implementing various government schemes, many small farmers still struggles to get adequate credit from rural banks.
  4. Despite implementing various government schemes, many small farmers still struggle to get adequate credit from rural banks.
Solutionसमाधान
'Despite' should not be followed by 'of'. It is used directly before a noun or gerund. Also, 'farmers' is plural, so the verb should be 'struggle', not 'struggles'.
'Despite' के बाद 'of' नहीं आता है। यह directly noun या gerund से पहले use होता है। साथ ही, 'farmers' plural है, इसलिए verb 'struggle' होना चाहिए, 'struggles' नहीं।

समाधान का रास्ता: Despite ofDespite (no of)। farmers strugglesfarmers plural → struggle। Option D दोनों सही करता है। Option C को देखो — वह Despite सही करता है पर struggles रहने देता है → वह गलत।

क्यों यह प्रश्न: Collective Noun government के साथ have/has का choice — rural banking context में यह बार-बार आता है।

Previous Year Questionपिछले वर्ष का प्रश्न
The government have announced new subsidies for purchasing agricultural equipment, which will help farmers modernize their farming techniques and increase productivity.
  1. The government has announced new subsidies for purchasing agricultural equipment, that will help farmers modernize their farming techniques and increase productivity.
  2. The government has announced new subsidies for purchasing agricultural equipment, which will help farmers modernize their farming techniques and increase productivity.
  3. The government has announced new subsidies for purchasing agricultural equipments, which will help farmers modernize their farming techniques and increase productivity.
  4. The government have announced new subsidies for purchasing agricultural equipment, which will help farmers modernize their farming techniques and increase productivity.
Solutionसमाधान
'Government' is a collective noun that is treated as singular in this context, so it requires 'has announced', not 'have announced'. The rest of the sentence is correct with proper use of 'which' and singular 'equipment'.
'Government' एक collective noun है जो इस context में singular माना जाता है, इसलिए 'has announced' चाहिए, 'have announced' नहीं। बाकी sentence सही है with proper use of 'which' और singular 'equipment'।

समाधान का रास्ता: Government = collective noun, एक body के रूप में action → singular → has announced। Option B check करो: has announced + which (correct, non-restrictive clause) + equipment (uncountable, no plural) → सब सही → Option B।

क्यों यह प्रश्न: interest rates has/have been reduced — plural subject के साथ सही auxiliary verb।

Previous Year Questionपिछले वर्ष का प्रश्न
The interest rates on agricultural loans has been reduced to encourage more farmers to take formal credit.
  1. are reducing
  2. was reduced
  3. have been reduced
  4. is being reduced
Solutionसमाधान
The subject 'interest rates' is plural, so the verb should be 'have been reduced' not 'has been reduced'. Plural subjects require plural auxiliary verbs.
कर्ता 'interest rates' बहुवचन है, इसलिए क्रिया 'have been reduced' होगी 'has been reduced' नहीं। बहुवचन कर्ता के साथ बहुवचन सहायक क्रिया का प्रयोग होता है।

समाधान का रास्ता: Subject = interest rates (plural) → have been reduced → Option C सही। was reduced (singular past) और is being reduced (singular present continuous) — दोनों singular form हैं, गलत।
