SBI Clerk के लिए क्लोज़ टेस्ट — संदर्भ आधारित रिक्त स्थान पूर्ति की पूरी रणनीति

intermediate 18 min read

(Immediate Context)

हर blank के तुरंत पहले और बाद के शब्द सबसे बड़े clue होते हैं।

परत 3: Collocation की पहचान

Collocation वह शब्द-जोड़ी है जो हमेशा साथ आती है। यह सबसे महत्वपूर्ण skill है।

| Collocation | गलत विकल्प जो tricky लगते हैं | |---|---| | conduct research | do research (informal है, परीक्षा में avoid) | | raise concerns | create concerns, build concerns | | implement policies | apply policies, use policies | | address challenges | solve challenges (ज़रूरी नहीं कि solve हो) | | equal access | same access, similar access |

SBI Clerk के options में अक्सर एक ऐसा शब्द होता है जो अर्थ में सही लगे लेकिन collocation गलत हो। वहीं trap है।

परत 4: Contrast और Transition signals

अनुच्छेद में "However", "Although", "But", "Despite" जैसे शब्द आएँ तो अगला blank अक्सर पिछले विचार का उलटा होगा। "Therefore", "Thus", "As a result" आएँ तो blank में logical conclusion होगा।

उदाहरण: "Technology brings convenience, it also poses significant challenges that need to be __ carefully."

Grammar की भूमिका

Subject-verb agreement और tense consistency को ignore मत करो।

शॉर्टकट और युक्तियाँ

patternCANT Framework

C - Central theme पकड़ो (पहला वाक्य पढ़ो) A - Adjacent words देखो (blank के आस-पास) N - Negative/Positive tone confirm करो T - Transition words (However, Therefore) को mark करो

इस framework को mentally apply करने में 10 seconds लगते हैं per blank। बिना framework के अनुमान लगाने में 40-50 seconds लगते हैं और गलती की संभावना दोगुनी। Standard approach: 45 seconds per blank → CANT Framework: 12-15 seconds per blank।

eliminationCollocation Elimination

हर option को blank में रखकर तुरंत पूछो: "क्या यह word-pair naturally बोली/लिखी जाती है?"

  • "Conduct research" — हाँ, standard academic phrase।
  • "Avoid research" — नहीं, यह collocation नहीं बनती।
  • "Stop research" — technically सही लेकिन context में वैज्ञानिक research रोक नहीं रहे, कर रहे हैं।

Collocation check करने से options 4 से 2 तक घटते हैं — यह step सिर्फ 5 seconds में होती है और 60% accuracy देती है। बाकी 2 options में से context-fit देखने में 10 seconds। Total: 15 seconds vs. बिना technique के 50 seconds।

patternTransition Word Compass

अनुच्छेद में ये शब्द आएँ तो blank का direction पहले से तय हो जाता है:

  • "However / But / Yet / Although" → अगले blank में contrast/negative idea होगी।
  • "Therefore / Thus / Hence / Consequently" → logical conclusion, positive/neutral।
  • "Moreover / Furthermore / Also" → पिछले idea का continuation।
  • "Despite / In spite of" → adversity के बावजूद।

"However, the digital divide remains a major (blank)" — "However" देखते ही समझ जाओ: blank में कोई problem/obstacle आएगी। Options में से "advantage" और "benefit" immediately eliminate। "Challenge" और "success" बचते हैं — "success" को "address करने की ज़रूरत" नहीं होती, "challenge" को होती है। Standard time without trick: 40s → With Transition Compass: 8s।

patternPreposition Anchor

कुछ verbs हमेशा specific prepositions के साथ आती हैं। Blank के बाद preposition देखो तो verb automatically lock हो जाती है।

  • "____ on cooperation" → "depend on" (not "rely on" अगर grammar structure allow करे)।
  • "need to be ____" → passive infinitive → verb का past participle form।
  • "____ing extensive research" → "-ing" form → "conducting"।

Preposition anchor देखने में 3 seconds, 2 options eliminate, बाकी context से। Overall 10 seconds saving per question।

eliminationTone Consistency Check

पूरे paragraph का tone (positive / negative / neutral-academic) पहचानो। फिर blank के options को tone के विरुद्ध check करो।

Climate change paragraph: tone = concern + action। इसलिए:

  • "Beautifying ecosystems" → clearly wrong (positive, not matching concern)।
  • "Ignoring ecosystems" → wrong (passive negativity, not what paragraph says)।
  • "Improving ecosystems" → wrong (too positive, contradicts the problem narrative)।
  • "Affecting ecosystems" → correct (neutral-negative, matches concern tone)।

Tone check: 5 seconds, eliminates 2-3 options instantly। बिना tone check: सभी चारों options पढ़ने में 20-25 seconds।

तेज़-समाधान रूपरेखा

परीक्षा हॉल में यह sequence follow करो:

Step 1 (15 seconds): पूरा अनुच्छेद एक बार scan करो। Central theme और tone note करो। Transition words (However, Therefore) को mentally mark करो।

Previous Year Questionपिछले वर्ष का प्रश्न
Climate change has become one of the most pressing issues of our time. Rising temperatures and changing weather patterns are __(7)__ ecosystems worldwide. Scientists have been __(8)__ extensive research to understand the long-term effects of global warming. Governments around the world are now __(9)__ various policies to combat this environmental crisis. The success of these initiatives will largely __(10)__ on international cooperation and collective action.
  1. improving
  2. affecting
  3. ignoring
  4. beautifying
Solutionसमाधान
The context discusses rising temperatures and changing weather patterns in relation to ecosystems. 'Affecting' means having an impact or influence on something, which is appropriate for describing climate change's impact on ecosystems.
प्रसंग में पारिस्थितिकी तंत्र के संबंध में बढ़ते तापमान और बदलते मौसम पैटर्न की चर्चा है। 'Affecting' का अर्थ है किसी चीज़ पर प्रभाव या असर डालना, जो पारिस्थितिकी तंत्र पर जलवायु परिवर्तन के प्रभाव का वर्णन करने के लिए उपयुक्त है।

समाधान का रास्ता: "Rising temperatures and changing weather patterns are (blank) ecosystems worldwide" — blank के बाद "ecosystems" है और पहले "are" है (present continuous)। Tone: concern। "Improving" और "beautifying" — positive, tone contradict करते हैं। "Ignoring" — subject (temperatures/patterns) चीज़ें ignore नहीं करतीं। "Affecting" — neutral-negative, perfect collocation, grammar सही। उत्तर: affecting।

क्यों यह प्रश्न: यह Collocation + Grammar (tense) का combination है। "Have been (blank) research" — यहाँ दोनों clues एक साथ काम करते हैं।

Previous Year Questionपिछले वर्ष का प्रश्न

Scientists have been __(8)__ extensive research to understand the long-term effects of global warming. The success of these initiatives will largely __(10)__ on international cooperation and collective action.
  1. avoiding
  2. conducting
  3. stopping
  4. preventing
Solutionसमाधान
The sentence describes what scientists have been doing regarding research. 'Conducting' means carrying out or performing research, which is the standard term used when referring to scientific research activities.
वाक्य में वर्णन है कि वैज्ञानिक अनुसंधान के संबंध में क्या कर रहे हैं। 'Conducting' का अर्थ है अनुसंधान करना या निष्पादित करना, जो वैज्ञानिक अनुसंधान गतिविधियों का उल्लेख करते समय उपयोग होने वाला मानक शब्द है।

समाधान का रास्ता: "Have been" के बाद present participle (-ing form) ज़रूरी है। "Avoiding", "stopping", "preventing" — सभी -ing form में आ सकते हैं, लेकिन "conduct research" एक fixed academic collocation है। वैज्ञानिक research को "avoid" या "stop" नहीं करते। "Preventing research" का कोई sense नहीं बनता context में। "Conducting research" — standard formal collocation। उत्तर: conducting।

क्यों यह प्रश्न: यह "However" transition signal का classic उदाहरण है। Technology के positive aspects के बाद "However" आता है, फिर challenges का ज़िक्र।

Previous Year Questionपिछले वर्ष का प्रश्न
The rapid advancement of technology has transformed the way we communicate and interact with each other. Social media platforms have connected people from different corners of the world, creating a global community. However, this digital revolution has also raised some concerns about privacy and data security. Many experts believe that while technology brings convenience, it also poses significant challenges that need to be __(5)__ carefully.
  1. ignored
  2. addressed
  3. created
  4. destroyed
Solutionसमाधान
The context discusses challenges that experts believe need attention. 'Addressed' means to deal with or tackle something, which is appropriate when discussing how to handle challenges or problems.
प्रसंग में उन चुनौतियों की चर्चा है जिन पर विशेषज्ञों के अनुसार ध्यान देने की आवश्यकता है। 'Addressed' का अर्थ है किसी चीज़ से निपटना या उसे संभालना, जो चुनौतियों या समस्याओं से निपटने के संदर्भ में उपयुक्त है।

समाधान का रास्ता: "Challenges that need to be (blank) carefully" — "need to be" के बाद past participle (passive voice)। "Addressed" = dealt with formally। "Ignored" — "need to be ignored" का कोई sense नहीं, challenges को ignore नहीं किया जाता। "Created" और "destroyed" — challenges को create या destroy नहीं करते। "Address challenges" — standard collocation। उत्तर: addressed।

क्यों यह प्रश्न: यह Preposition Anchor technique का perfect example है। "(blank) on international cooperation" में "on" एक lock है।

The success of these initiatives will largely __(10)__ on international cooperation and collective action.
  1. depend
  2. ignore
  3. destroy
  4. prevent
Solutionसमाधान
The sentence discusses what determines the success of environmental initiatives. 'Depend' means to be determined by or reliant on something, which correctly expresses that success relies on international cooperation.
वाक्य में चर्चा है कि पर्यावरणीय पहलों की सफलता क्या निर्धारित करती है। 'Depend' का अर्थ है किसी चीज़ पर निर्भर या आधारित होना, जो सही तरीके से व्यक्त करता है कि सफलता अंतर्राष्ट्रीय सहयोग पर निर्भर करती है।

समाधान का रास्ता: "The success will largely (blank) on international cooperation" — blank के बाद "on" है। "Depend on" एक fixed phrase है। "Ignore on", "destroy on", "prevent on" — ये collocations exist नहीं करतीं। Future tense "will" के बाद base form आएगी — "depend" (not "depending")। उत्तर: depend।

क्यों यह प्रश्न: "However" + "needs to be addressed" structure — यहाँ दोनों signals एक साथ आते हैं।

Previous Year Questionपिछले वर्ष का प्रश्न
Education plays a crucial role in shaping the future of any society. In recent years, there has been a significant shift towards digital learning platforms. These online resources have made education more accessible to students from diverse backgrounds. However, the digital divide remains a major __(14)__ that needs to be addressed to ensure __(15)__ access to quality education for all.
  1. advantage
  2. benefit
  3. challenge
  4. success
Solutionसमाधान
The sentence introduces a contrasting point with 'However' and mentions something that needs to be addressed. 'Challenge' means a difficult problem, which appropriately describes the digital divide as an obstacle to overcome.
वाक्य 'However' के साथ एक विपरीत बिंदु प्रस्तुत करता है और किसी ऐसी चीज़ का उल्लेख करता है जिसे संबोधित करने की आवश्यकता है। 'Challenge' का अर्थ है कठिन समस्या, जो डिजिटल विभाजन को एक बाधा के रूप में उपयुक्त रूप से वर्णित करता है।

समाधान का रास्ता: "However, the digital divide remains a major (blank) that needs to be addressed" — "However" से contrast signal। Paragraph में accessibility की positive बात थी, अब obstacle की। "Needs to be addressed" — यह phrase problems/challenges के लिए use होता है, benefits के लिए नहीं। "Advantage" और "benefit" eliminate (positive)। "Success" eliminate (success को "address" नहीं करते)। "Challenge" — perfect fit। उत्तर: challenge।
