SBI PO के लिए त्रुटि पहचान और वाक्यांश प्रतिस्थापन — सम्पूर्ण मार्गदर्शिका

intermediate 22 min read

Error Spotting में त्रुटियों के प्रकार

SBI PO के पिछले प्रश्नपत्रों का विश्लेषण करें तो त्रुटियाँ मुख्यतः इन श्रेणियों में मिलती हैं:

1. Tense Consistency (काल की एकरूपता)

यह सबसे आम और सबसे ज़्यादा marks लेने वाली category है।

नियम: एक ही वाक्य में दोनों clauses का tense logical sequence में होना चाहिए।

2. Verb-Form के बाद का नियम

यह shortcut की तरह याद कर लो — कुछ verbs के बाद हमेशा एक ही form आती है:

| Verb | बाद में क्या आएगा | उदाहरण | |---|---|---| | refuse, decide, agree, want | to + V1 | refused to accept | | enjoy, avoid, consider | Gerund (V+ing) | enjoys swimming | | help, let, make, bid | bare infinitive (V1) | helps improve | | advise, tell, ask | not to + V1 | advised him not to make |

ध्यान दो: "refused accepting" — यह गलत है। "refused to accept" — यह सही है। और "advised him to not make" — formal grammar में यह split infinitive मानी जाती है; "advised him not to make" सही है।

3. Spelling त्रुटियाँ

SBI PO में spelling errors को underline करके पूछा जाता है। ये tricky होती हैं क्योंकि misplaced letter तुरंत नज़र नहीं आती।

सबसे आम pattern: एक extra letter या wrong letter।

Trick: Spelling वाले प्रश्न में बाकी सभी parts grammatically correct होते हैं — इसलिए जो part odd लगे, उसकी spelling पहले जाँचो।

4. Subject-Verb Agreement

5. Swap-Type प्रश्न (वाक्यांश प्रतिस्थापन — SBI PO 2025 pattern)

यह 2025 में नए format में आया। इसमें दो words या phrases को आपस में swap करने से पूरा वाक्य सही और logical हो जाता है।

Strategy:

  1. पहले पूरा वाक्य पढ़ो और overall meaning समझो।
  2. देखो कि कौन सा word अपनी जगह पर fit नहीं बैठ रहा — contextually या grammatically।
  3. उस word को swap करने से क्या वाक्य बेहतर बनता है?

उदाहरण: "The minister's speech on economic resilience deeply resonated with citizens who had faced years of prosperity."

यहाँ logic गड़बड़ा गया — जो लोग prosperity (समृद्धि) झेल रहे हों, उन्हें resilience (कठिनाई में टिके रहने) की बात क्यों resonate करेगी? Swap करो: "speech on economic prosperity ... citizens who had faced years of resilience" — अब logical है।

6. Logical/Contextual

STAG filter: एक focused pass — 30 seconds।

eliminationSwap प्रश्न में 'odd word out' technique

Time saved: ~35 seconds।

patternVerb-form shortcut — RADAR list

patternTense Signal Words — Parallel Clause Rule

जब एक clause में tense का signal word हो (was/were/had), तो दूसरे clause में भी Past form होनी चाहिए।

Signal words: while, when, as, after, before, since — ये तुम्हें बताते हैं कि दोनों clauses का tense match होना चाहिए।

"While she was cooking → her children played" — was देखते ही दूसरे clause में played expect करो। अगर plays/play दिखे, वही error।

Standard method: पूरे tense chart से match करना। Signal word method: सिर्फ़ signal word देखो, answer मिल जाता है। Speed gain: 40 seconds → 10 seconds।

patternSpelling Error — 'Triple C' pattern

सबसे ज़्यादा spelling errors तीन patterns में आती हैं: Consonant doubling (occurred, committed), Cei/cie confusion (receive, perceive), Common suffix (ment, ness, tion — इनसे पहले base word की spelling नहीं बदलती)।

जब underlined part unusual लगे, इन तीनों को check करो।

"accustomned" — यहाँ suffix से पहले extra 'n' है जो नहीं होनी चाहिए। Triple C check → found in 5 seconds vs. general scanning → 20 seconds।

तेज़-समाधान रूपरेखा

परीक्षा-कक्ष में यह decision tree follow करो:

Step 1: क्या यह Swap-type प्रश्न है?

Step 2: STAG filter

समाधान का रास्ता: "economic resilience" और "years of prosperity" — resilience तब relevant है जब hardship हो, prosperity नहीं। इसलिए B और D swap होंगे: "speech on economic prosperity" + "citizens who faced years of resilience।"

Previous Year Questionपिछले वर्ष का प्रश्न2025
The minister's eloquent (A)/ speech on economic resilience (B)/ deeply resonated (C)/ with citizens who had faced years of prosperity (D)/.
  1. C-D
  2. B-D
  3. A-B
  4. A-D
Solutionसमाधान
The sentence is illogical because citizens facing 'prosperity' wouldn't need economic resilience messages. Swapping B (resilience) and D (prosperity) makes it logically and grammatically correct.

क्यों यह प्रश्न: Vocabulary-based swap — "succumbed" और "astute" दोनों high-level words हैं। SBI PO में ऐसे words जानबूझकर डाले जाते हैं।

समाधान का रास्ता: "CEO's succumbed strategies" — एक CEO की strategies succumb नहीं कर सकतीं। Strategy astute (चतुर) होती है। "Others succumbed to economic prudence" — यह logical है। इसलिए A (succumbed) और C (astute) swap करो।

Previous Year Questionपिछले वर्ष का प्रश्न2025
The CEO's succumbed (A)/ strategies helped the company flourish (B)/ even when others astute (C)/ to economic prudence (D)/.
  1. B-C
  2. A-C
  3. B-D
  4. A-D
Solutionसमाधान
Swapping 'succumbed' (A) and 'astute' (C) gives 'astute strategies' and 'others succumbed to economic prudence,' which is both grammatically correct and contextually meaningful.

क्यों यह प्रश्न: "a conformity critique of profound" — यह phrase structure ही गलत है। Article + adjective + noun + of + adjective यह pattern English में नहीं बनता।

समाधान का रास्ता: "a profound critique of conformity" — यही natural English phrase है। C और D swap करो। Article के बाद adjective आना चाहिए, abstract noun नहीं।

Previous Year Questionपिछले वर्ष का प्रश्न2025
The artist's audacious (A) / exhibition, though subtle (B) / in theme, offered a conformity (C) / critique of profound (D)/.
  1. C-D
  2. A-B
  3. B-C
  4. A-D
Solutionसमाधान
Swapping 'conformity' (C) and 'profound' (D) gives 'a profound critique of conformity,' which is grammatically correct and contextually meaningful as an artistic statement.

क्यों यह प्रश्न: Spelling error का classic SBI PO pattern — एक extra letter जो pronunciation में नहीं सुनाई देती।

समाधान का रास्ता: "accustomned" को ध्यान से देखो — "accustom" + "ned" में extra 'n' है। सही spelling "accustomed" है। STAG filter में Spelling step पर पहले ही पकड़ में आता।

Previous Year Questionपिछले वर्ष का प्रश्न2025
She was (a) accustomned to waking up early (b) even during holidays, (c) so she found it difficult to sleep late (d) when she went on vacation.
  1. so she found it difficult to sleep late
  2. even during holidays
  3. when she went on vacation
  4. accustomned to waking up early
Solutionसमाधान
The word 'accustomned' is misspelled; the correct spelling is 'accustomed.' All other parts of the sentence are grammatically correct.

क्यों यह प्रश्न: RADAR list का प्रश्न — "refused" के बाद gerund vs infinitive।

समाधान का रास्ता: RADAR list में R = Refuse। Refuse के बाद हमेशा to + V1। यहाँ "accepting" (gerund) है जो गलत है। सही: "refused to accept।"

Previous Year Questionपिछले वर्ष का प्रश्न2025
He refused (a) accepting the invitation (b) to the annual conference (c) without any valid reason (d).
  1. He refused
  2. accepting the invitation
  3. to the annual conference
  4. without any valid reason
Solutionसमाधान
After 'refused,' the infinitive form 'to accept' must be used, not the gerund 'accepting.' The correct phrasing is 'refused to accept the invitation.'

क्यों यह प्रश्न: Split infinitive — "to not make" vs "not to make।" Formal grammar में यह distinction SBI PO में बार-बार आता है।

समाधान का रास्ता: "not" हमेशा infinitive से पहले आता है: "not to make।" "to not make" split infinitive है जो formal/written English में गलत मानी जाती है। RADAR में A = Advise — इसके बाद का structure check करो।

Previous Year Questionपिछले वर्ष का प्रश्न2025
The teacher advised him (a) to not make (b) the same mistake (c) again in the upcoming exams (d).
  1. again in the upcoming exams
  2. to not make
  3. The teacher advised him
  4. the same mistake
Solutionसमाधान
In formal grammar, 'not' should come directly before the verb it modifies. The correct form is 'not to make,' placing 'not' before the infinitive marker 'to.'

क्यों यह प्रश्न: Tense consistency का textbook उदाहरण — signal word "while" + past continuous = दोनों clauses past में।

समाधान का रास्ता: "While she was cooking" — "was" देखते ही parallel clause में past tense expect करो। "plays" present tense है जो गलत। सही: "played।" Signal word method से 10 seconds में solve।

Previous Year Questionपिछले वर्ष का प्रश्न2025
While she was cooking (a)/ her children plays (b)/ in the garden (c)/ without any supervision (d).
  1. in the garden
  2. without any supervision
  3. While she was cooking
  4. her children plays
Solutionसमाधान
The sentence uses past continuous tense in the first clause, so the second clause must also be in past tense. 'plays' should be 'played' to maintain tense consistency.

क्यों यह प्रश्न: "helps + gerund" vs "helps + base verb" — यह SBI PO 2024 में आया और बहुत लोग confuse हुए।

समाधान का रास्ता: "Help" के बाद bare infinitive (base verb) आता है, gerund नहीं। "helps improving" गलत है। सही: "helps improve।" STAG filter में Grammatical form step पर पकड़ में आता।

Previous Year Questionपिछले वर्ष का प्रश्न2024
The research study (A) / claims that meditation helps (B) / improving concentration (C) / and reducing stress levels. (D)
  1. B
  2. A
  3. D
  4. C
Solutionसमाधान
'Helps' must be followed by the base form of the verb, not the gerund. Part C should read 'improve concentration' instead of 'improving concentration.'
