Continuous Assessment, as conceptualised in CCE (Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation), combines informal observations with both formative (during learning) and summative (end of period) assessment. It is not limited to formal tests or only informal observations. The comprehensive, ongoing nature includes multiple modes — observation, formative tasks, and summative evaluations — woven throughout learning.
