Gaja Dwar, Ashwa Dwar, Garuda Dwar, Makar Dwar, Shardula Dwar and Hamsa Dwar are located in a building at

Gaja Dwar (Elephant Gate), Ashwa Dwar (Horse Gate), Garuda Dwar (Eagle Gate), Makar Dwar (Crocodile Gate), Shardula Dwar (Lion Gate), and Hamsa Dwar (Swan Gate) are the six ceremonial entrances of the new Parliament Building (Sansad Bhavan) in New Delhi, inaugurated in May 2023. Each gate is named after a sacred animal from Indian mythology and represents different attributes. The Gaja Dwar represents wisdom, Ashwa Dwar represents power and strength, Garuda Dwar represents the vehicle of Lord Vishnu, Makar Dwar represents water and life, Shardula Dwar represents valor, and Hamsa Dwar represents purity and wisdom.
