In the 18th century, under whom did Bengal gradually break away from the Mughal control?

Murshid Quli Khan, the Mughal-appointed Diwan of Bengal in the early 18th century, gradually broke away from Mughal central control. He became the first Nawab of Bengal and shifted the capital from Dhaka to Murshidabad (named after him). Although he formally acknowledged Mughal sovereignty, he ruled Bengal as a virtually independent state, paving the way for the later Nawabs of Bengal.
