In which cell of human body, the nucleus is not present?

Mature mammalian red blood cells (erythrocytes) lack a nucleus. During their maturation in the bone marrow, the nucleus is extruded to maximise the cell's capacity to carry haemoglobin and thus oxygen. This also gives them their characteristic biconcave disc shape. Muscle cells, phagocytes and ciliated epithelial cells all retain nuclei.
