Mitochondria : ATP :: Ribosome : ?

This is an analogy question about cellular organelles and their products. Mitochondria produce ATP (the energy currency of cells) through cellular respiration. Similarly, Ribosomes produce proteins through the process of protein synthesis (translation). Ribosomes read mRNA and assemble amino acids into polypeptide chains, which fold to form functional proteins.
