The Indian Army launched 'Operation Sarvashakti' to flush out terrorists in

Operation Sarvashakti was launched by the Indian Army in early 2024 to flush out terrorists from Jammu and Kashmir, particularly in the Rajouri-Poonch sector south of the Pir Panjal range. It was modelled on the lines of Operation Sarp Vinash conducted in 2003 and was launched in response to increased terrorist activity and attacks on security forces in the region. The operation involved coordinated action across both sides of the Pir Panjal to neutralise the terror infrastructure.
