The Ministry of Defence, Government of India, has declared 2025 as the 'Year of Reforms'. The aim is to transform the Armed Forces into a technologically advanced, combat-ready force capable of multi-domain integrated operations. The focus areas include jointness and integration initiatives, establishment of Integrated Theatre Commands, emphasising new domains such as cyber and space, emerging technologies like AI, machine learning, hypersonics and robotics, and streamlining acquisition procedures. This decision was announced by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.
