What is/are found in microbodies present in plant and animal cells?

Microbodies (such as peroxisomes and glyoxysomes) are small, single-membrane-bound organelles present in both plant and animal cells. They contain various enzymes – peroxisomes contain catalase and oxidases involved in oxidation reactions (e.g., breakdown of fatty acids and detoxification of hydrogen peroxide), while glyoxysomes (in plants) contain enzymes of the glyoxylate cycle. Therefore enzymes are the characteristic content of microbodies.
