Who among the following elects the Rajya Sabha Members?

Rajya Sabha members are elected by the Members of Legislative Assemblies (MLAs) of the states and union territories through a system of proportional representation by single transferable vote. The MLAs of each state elect the Rajya Sabha representatives from that state. This makes Rajya Sabha the Council of States, indirectly elected, in contrast to the directly elected Lok Sabha.
