Establishing trust, grievance redressal standards, and data governance norms across a decentralised multi-participant network remains a significant implementation challenge.

By enabling price discovery across multiple seller nodes, ONDC can enhance market competition and reduce search costs for consumers. Ensuring quality standards, return logistics, and dispute resolution across heterogeneous network participants requires robust regulatory coordination between DPIIT, the Competition Commission, and consumer protection authorities.
