When is the International Day of Democracy, as designated by a resolution of the United Nations General Assembly, celebrated?

The International Day of Democracy is observed annually on 15 September. It was established by a resolution of the United Nations General Assembly in 2007 (Resolution A/RES/62/7), and the first observance was on 15 September 2008. The day provides an opportunity to review the state of democracy in the world and encourages governments to strengthen and consolidate democratic institutions. 1 July is celebrated as National Doctors' Day in India, and 9 December is observed as International Anti-Corruption Day by the UN. 20 January is the inauguration day for US Presidents but has no UN-recognised significance for democracy.
