Who composed Zainavilas, a history of the rulers of Kashmir, in the time of Zainul Abidin?

Zainavilas was composed by Shrivara, a court poet and historian who served Sultan Zainul Abidin of Kashmir (1420-1470). Shrivara was a disciple of Jonaraja and continued the tradition of writing Sanskrit historical chronicles in Kashmir, following Kalhana's Rajatarangini. His Jaina-Rajatarangini, of which Zainavilas is a part, documented the rule of Zainul Abidin, often called Bud Shah (the Great King). Shrivara's work is an important source for the cultural and political history of fifteenth-century Kashmir. Jonaraja had earlier written the Dvitiya Rajatarangini covering the period from where Kalhana left off until the reign of Zainul Abidin's father. Shrivara extended this tradition by chronicling Zainul Abidin's enlightened reign.
